The 6th Edition of the SIIMA Awards (South Indian International Movie Awards) kick started yesterday at Abu Dhabi. The two-day event is the biggest event for South Indian movies and brings the four industries Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam together.
The first-day show is dedicated to the Telugu and Kannada films, while Tamil and Malayalam films will be honoured on the second-day show. This is the biggest SIIMA awards in its 6-year history.
More than 600 celebrities will be the part of SIIMA Awards. Yesterday on the first day of the two-day event Bahubaali’s Bhalla Deva, Rana Daggubati started the evening in a spectacular manner while Shubra Aiyappa and Rashmika Mandanna set the stage on fire with their performance and Usha Uthap mesmerised the audience with her soulful voice.
Radhika Chetan, Lakshmi Manchu, Pooja Hegde were also spotted at the event. Allu Arjun (Sarrainodu) , NTR (Janatha Garage), Nagarjuna (Oopiri), Ram Charan (Dhruva) and Nani (Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha) are nominated for the best actor category for Telugu films while Samantha (A Aa), Rakul Preet (Nannaku Prematho), Ritu Varma (Pelli Choopulu) and Lavanya Tripathi (Srirastu Shubhamastu) are nominated for the best actress category.
For the Kannada Awards, Rakshit Shetty (Kirik Party), Dr. Shivarajkumar (Shivalinga), Puneeth Rajkumar (Doddamane Huduga) and Yash (Santhu Straight Forward) are nominated for best actor while Sruthi Hariharan (Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu), Hariprriya (Neer Dose), Vedhika (Shivalinga), Parul Yadav (Killing Veerappan) and Shraddha Srinath (U Turn) are nominated for best actress.
