After the success of Alice in Wonderland, the makers came up with its sequel. Alice Through the Looking Glass was one of the most anticipated Hollywood films of 2016. The Finest Hours released on 29th January 2016 and received mixed reviews. Currently, the film holds 63 % of rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 163 reviews. The movie also failed to earn money on the box office window. The movie grossed $27.6 million domestically and $24.5 million overseas. The film grossed just $52.1 million worldwide against $80 million budget. According to the report, Disney lost $75 million for this movie.

Gods of Egypt

Gods of Egypt was a fantasy movie that tells the story of ancient Egyptian deities. The plot of the movie revolves around the collaboration between Egyptian heroes and god Horus to save the world. During the promotion of the movie, Summit entertainment ran into controversy due to the white cast as Egyptian deities.

Films critiques bashed the movie after its release. The movie received mostly negative reviews. The film earned $31.2 million in USA and Canada, whereas it earned $119.6 million in overseas markets. Finally, Gods of Egypt grossed $150.7 million worldwide as compared to $140 million budget. The report suggests that the movie lost around $90 million.

Star Trek Beyond

Allied was one of the most anticipated World War II spy movie directed by Robert Zemeckis and featuring A-list stars Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard. The movie is made on the production budget of $85 million. It received mixed reviews from the film critique.

“Allied” grossed $38.5 million in USA and Canada, along with $38.2 million overseas markets. A total worldwide collection of the movie is $76.7 million is less than $85 million budget.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is the sequel to 2014 box office success Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  The movie features Megan Fox, Stephen Amell, Will Arnett, Brian Tee, Tyler Perry and Brittany Ishibashi. The movie received mixed reviews upon its April release.

TMNT: Out of the Shadows grossed almost half as compared to its predecessor. It made $82.1 million in North America and $163.6 million in overseas markets. Total box office collection of the movie is $245.6 million, which is much less than 2014 TMNT movie. Paramount is expected to lose around $75 million for this movie.
