Diljit Dosanjh Was Offered ‘Baadshaho’, But He Turned Down The Role

Diljit Dosanjh

Diljit Dosanjh is undoubtedly the biggest Punjabi star, who has made it big in the Bollywood, his fan following is all over the world. The actor-singer has done many movies in Punjabi and Hindi. He made his Bollywood debut in ‘Udta Punjab’, and was appreciated for his performance and then appeared in Anushka Sharma’s ‘Phillauri’, he continues doing his Punjabi movies, his next film is ‘Rangroot’, which will be based on World War I.

Now, very few people know that Diljit was offered Emraan Hashmi’s role in ‘Baadshaho’ but he turned down, the movie obviously became a Box Office success but didn’t leave a mark. Now, if we think about why Diljit turned down the role, it makes sense; to be honest, the movie was not very impressive and that might be the one reason but the major reason is that Emraan Hashmi has some bold scenes with Sunny Leone in the song ‘Piya More’ and Diljit is very uncomfortable in doing such roles.

Another reason might be that he had some important Punjabi projects in hand, including ‘Rangroot’ and ‘Super Singh’, which released a few months ago. ‘Baadshaho’ didn’t work, that’s another thing but as an actor, Diljit should try more things.

Diljit’s upcoming movie ‘Rangroot’ is expected to be huge, it has been at work for quite some time now and presence of Diljit makes it even better. The movie is based on the World War I, it is the story of Indian Army and Diljit in that role will be something good.

The movie will hit the screens on 23rd March 2018.
