Harry Potter prequel film ‘Fantastic Beast and Where to find Them’ was a huge success. The film was released on 2016 and over 800 million USD globally. It featured a great cast of Eddie Redmayne, Dan Fogler, Katherine Watterson, Allison Sudol, Colin Farrell, Carmen Ejogo, Ezra Miller, Samantha Morton, Ron Perlman, Johnny Depp, and much more in an important role. Depp, who was seen as Gellert Grindelwald aka ‘dark wizards’ believes that he was lucky to be the part of the film.
Harry Potter fans were delighted and happy to see Depp in the spin-off. He didn’t have a much big role in the first installment but in the second film, he will have a bigger and better role. Recently, it was announced that Jude Law will be seen as iconic Albus Dumbledore opposite Johnny Depp in the second film, which will actually be great to witness. We will see the relationship of young Dumbledore and Grindelwald. Dumbledore will be nothing like what we have seen in the Harry Potter film. It will feature a Dumbledore who is in love with Grindelwald.
Johnny said, in an interview that, it was a new and experimental experience for him. “I talked to JK Rolling, she is a genius woman, she told me about the story and character. It is an amazing story, I instantly fell in love with it, and I felt lucky to be chosen for the part of the film.”
Depp is busy in promoting his next film, ‘Pirates of Caribbean: Dead Men Tales No Lies’ which is just weeks away from its release. After that, he will be ready for ‘Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them II’. David Yates will reprise his job as the director and will release sometime around next year.
